Daniel Taub’s Efforts in Doubling Trade Between Israel and The United Kingdom

The four years that Ambassador Daniel Taub had been in office, trade between Israel and UK has never been this progressive. The total bilateral trade has amounted to over $5.5 billion in one year. His ambassadorship has strengthened the business and academic relationship between the two states.

Ambassador Taub is an Israel diplomat born in Israel; he has served as the Ambassador of Israel to St James since 2011. During his time he advocated for freedom of expression during the tension period in colleges in 2012.

When Bradford was declared an Israel free-zone by George Galloway, he visited the place. Ambassador Taub has experience working with his Palestinian counterpart as a peace negotiator in North Ireland.

Daniel Taub was born and raised as Britain nationalist until in 1989 when he permanently moved to Israel. While in Israel he joined the Israel Defense Forces working as a war medic. Daniel Taub later took up a reserve post at the international law division.

Taub left the forces to work with the Israel Foreign Ministry where he offered legal counsel to Israel mission in the UN. He also represented Israel in many multilevel agreements.

Daniel is a certified international lawyer with credentials from Oxford University, London University and Harvard University in the UK. He also has amassed counter terrorism techniques and knowledge in laws of war. Taub took the lead in several negotiations involving Israel and Palestine peace treaties. During his appointment as ambassador to the court of St James, he met with the Queen who inquired of his reaction to his position. Daniel Taub expressed his honor to be serving his home country. He was also happy that Britain, his second home, and Israel were cooperating, a relationship that will mutually benefit to the two nations.

Daniel Taub aligned with Google to establish a startup competition for young entrepreneurs. The Bizcamp startup competition was motivation to young entrepreneurs to venture in business and trade.

His work has made a significant impact, receiving recognition and nominated for the Grassroot Diplomatic Initiative award which he won in 2013. Daniel Taub is also an active public speaker; he gives lectures to various universities and policy institutes globally.

He has appeared on various TV shows and featured in radio programs. As a writer, his work had made publications in prestigious newspapers including The Times and Huffington Post.

Daniel Taub’s term ended in 2015 when he left big shoes to fill in. He moved back to Israel where he still advocated for diplomacy in Israel. He has written Parasha Diplomatic, an insightful diplomatic book.
